New Mexico Military Institute's Marian Ovalle and Mio Yamamoto were tabbed as NJCAA Division I first-team volleyball All-American's.
A sophomore opposite and Ciudad Juarez native, Ovalle tallied 511 kills in 38 matches played. She averaged 3.79 kills per set while ranking third in the nation in points with 615.
At the net she had 12 solo blocks, 104 block assists and 116 total blocks. Ovalle also compiled 396 digs, 22 assists and 40 service aces.
Ovalle ranked fifth in the nation in kills, seventh in total attacks and fourth in points per set.
She had a season-high 29 kills during a five-set victory over Iowa Western on Oct. 16. Her highest block mark of nine came against New Mexico Junior College on Nov. 6.
Yamamoto was one of the best libero's in the nation.
During her freshman campaign, the Japan native grabbed 796 digs, which ranked second-best in the nation.
Yamamoto averaged 5.85 digs per set. She also had 126 assists and 29 service aces.
Her season-best mark of 45 digs were tallied against Iowa Western on Oct. 16. Yamamoto had 21 games where she had 20 or more digs.
