Broncos Fight Hard, Wrap Up Play at NJCAA National Championship

The No. 16 ranked New Mexico Military Institute Bronco golf team officially concluded their season on Friday afternoon, wrapping up a grueling four-day run at the 2026 NJCAA National Championship. Competing against the nation's best at the challenging Sand Creek Station Golf Course, the Broncos finished the tournament in a tie for 17th place overall.

The highlight of the tournament for NMMI came during Wednesday's second round. The Broncos found their rhythm and carded their best collective performance of the week, shooting an impressive team score of +6.

That surge was spearheaded by a stellar individual performance from Joseph Suh, who fired a team-tournament-best 2-under-par (-2) to anchor the Broncos' scoreboard on day two.

Sophomore Gianni Perrilli showcased consistency across the four-day event, ultimately posting the top overall score for NMMI. Perrilli finished the tournament at +24, earning him a tie for 60th place in a highly competitive individual field.

The battle for the national crown came down to the absolute wire. McLennan Community College narrowly captured the national championship title, finishing at +20 overall. They edged out runner-up Indian Hills Community College (+21) by a single stroke in a thrilling Friday finale.
