Q1
In the opening drive of the contest, the NMMI defense was able to force a quick punt after allowing negative five yards on the drive. On their possession of the year, the Colts were able to move the ball half of the field but stalled out after turning the ball over on downs following a failed fourth down attempt.
No side was able to find the end zone in the opening quarter after both teams failed to score after being in the red zone.

The Colts started the second quarter on offense and wasted no time finding the end zone. In just four plays, NMMI moved the ball 90 yards. On a second and three, Konstantino Scopelitis took a handoff 55 yards to score the first touchdown of the year for the Institute and give NMMI a 7-0 advantage.
After stopping a fourth down attempt by the Falcons, Scopelitis found the end zone once again. This time, the senior spun his way out of a tackle before running over the defender to score a 9-yard rushing touchdown – his second of the quarter.
